Envelope #35-1: Something new I’m trying for us structural engineers
Hey, Andy here from Back of the Envelope here.
Quick note for you today.
In my last email (link), I shared some thoughts about the struggle of juggling too many goals at once. It’s a challenge many of us wrestle with, and if that resonated with you, I’ve got something you might find interesting.
I’ve recently started a free online community exclusively for practicing structural engineers: SEHQ PRO.
What is it?
Think of it as a space for like-minded engineers to connect, swap ideas, and maybe even build some meaningful relationships. Over 80 engineers have already joined, and we are just getting started.
It’s kind of like Eng-Tips, but without the anonymity — which means more trust and deeper, more meaningful connections.
And it’s for engineers only. No recruiters, spammers, or anonymous imposters. Just real people who get what you/we do.
If you’re curious (or looking for a new space to hang out with fellow engineers), you can join here: sehq.pro.
A Work in Progress
I’ll be honest, this is a bit of an experiment, but I see it as an opportunity to grow and discover what we can build together. I don’t know exactly where it’ll go, but I’m excited to see what we create.
If it sounds like your kind of thing, come hang out!
